Antique Chinese Fabric Banners - Calligraphy and Traditional Symbols

These antique Chinese fabric banners are traditional decorative pieces originating from China. Made from old textile canvas, they feature, depending on the model, Chinese characters, Taoist symbols, religious motifs, auspicious signs or calligraphic compositions.

Each banner is different: the inscriptions, motifs, colors, dimensions and arrangement of the elements may vary from one piece to another. Some feature the Yin and Yang, the eight trigrams of the Bagua or various characters and formulas from Chinese tradition.
